Fervent Gum marks an inception for Kyle Setch AKA Lithe. On the EP, the ex-drummer reflects on the journey of migrating from Townsville to Melbourne: arid Australian landscapes, sleepless nights in a freezing car and visits from aboriginal spirits dominated Setch’s mind during the writing of the record.

The stunningly unique EP stands on the fringe of abstract techno with its thundering bass drum patterns and dissonant synth leads disguised as electric guitar. The release pairs these sensibilities with tribal polyrhythmic drum lines which spiral throughout the EP, funnelling movement and heavy groove into an otherwise stark soundbed.
