Picking up immediately where Gunman left off (all furious doholla and rolling sub), Agrippa diffuses the tension, pulling right back into a haze of hopeful pads and industrial machinery.

Almost as soon as Agrippa starts to build again it begins shedding layers, twisting into its final form where Badskin’s (C.M. Oliver) careful, treated guitar carries through to the resolution. Soft Light wastes no time in barrelling out of the haze of Agrippa, a hard drum hybrid of the three tracks that precede it. If Agrippa was a palate cleanse, it was in service of the four-to-the-floor kicks and thundering drum lines of Soft Light.

Agrippa / Soft Light is the second of three EPs from Lithe to be released throughout 2020. Each track transitions into the next and listening to all three installments consecutively will reveal a fully realised mini-album.
